BIO

A Winston Salem, NC native, Russell started his musical journey on guitar at the age of 12. He went on to receive a degree in Performance from one of this country’s top institutions for guitar and contemporary music, Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. There he learned to be comfortable in a number of styles: early rock and blues roots, funk, soul and straight ahead jazz.

Since moving back to his hometown of Winston Salem,  he has continued to hone his craft with particular emphasis on performing and teaching.
